Karim Abbas


Karim has a 20-year track record in the consumer industry, the last 12 in senior roles at L'Oréal focused on leading strategic business transformations as well as international brand development including L'Oréal Paris, Garnier, Maybelline NY, IT Cosmetics, CeraVe, Skinceuticals, Vichy and La Roche Posay.


At L'Oréal, Karim held executive roles, both in France and internationally, leading businesses with full P&L responsibility in both developed and emerging market at different stages of development including startups, growth accelerations and complex turnarounds. Karim’s experience includes assignments on digital media, e-commerce, retail, factories and sustainability. Karim was also involved in a number of strategic acquisitions valued in total at $3 Billion.


Before joining L’Oréal, Karim worked in marketing communications as a Regional Director with Omnicom Media Group building consumer brands with PepsiCo, Beiersdorf and Kellogg’s. Karim holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the American University of Beirut and an MBA from INSEAD.
